WATERLOO — Robert C. High, 67, of Waterloo, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of cancer.

He was born March 16, 1945, in Fremont, Neb., son of Charles Wesley and Loriene Grace Sloma High. He married Mary Lee Jurgensen in 1965, and they later divorced. He married Diane Slessor on June 8, 1996, in Waterloo.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. High received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska in 1972 and his MBA in 1983. He was employed with Country View care center and had worked for 16 years as the administrator at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center. He was a member of Rotary.

Survived by his wife; a son, Rob (Anh) of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; a daughter, Lori (Doug) Peters of Columbus, Neb.; six grandchildren, Thomas and Mary High and Nehemiah, Elijah, Hananiah and Caleb Peters; a sister, Nancy Kasl of Lincoln, Neb.; and his nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, where full military rites will be conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31, Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and the U. S. Navy Honor Guard. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Zastrow Cemetery, Cordova, Neb. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
