CHARLES AND MARY BUCHHOLZ

Funeral services are pending at Chapel of Memories East for Charles, and Mary Buchholz, 59 and 57 respectively, of 890 Newton St., who were killed Saturday about 9:10 p.m. in a car accident on the intersection of Broadway and Conger Streets.

Mr. Buchholz was born at Glenwood, Minn., on Feb. 20, 1914, the son of George and Mary Peterson Buchholz. He lived in Waterloo for the last 35 years.

Mrs. Buchholz was born Aug. 27, 1916, at Hazleton , the daughter of Claude, and Susan Stout. She lived in Waterloo for 43 years.

They were married Aug. 16, 1952, in Waterloo. Mrs. Buchholz was previously married. Mr. and Mrs. Buchholz were members of Cornwall Methodist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harry Webber of Mason City; two sons, William (Mike) Peyton of 1006 Walker St. and Robert Peyton of 1009 Dawson St.; one sister, Mrs. Paul Losee of 227 E. Tenth St.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Mr. Buchholz is survived by one stepdaughter, two step-sons, 11 step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers: Leonard of Marshall, Minn., Clarence of Villard, Minn., and Russell of Glenwood, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. Gladys Rodvold of Alexandria, Minn.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Mr. Buchholz worked for Charles Mauser & Co. and belonged to Local 928 construction general labor union and Operating Engineer Local 234.

Friends may call at Chapel of Memories East after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
