Services for Mrs. Emily Hafar, 64, of 1414 Liberty Ave., are pending at Locke Funeral Home, where friends may call after 9 a.m. tomorrow. Mrs. Hafar died at 6:30 a.m. yesterday at Allen Memorial Hospital of a heart condition.

She was born April 6, 1909, in Indiana, the daughter of Henderson and Lydia Beard, and was married to Emerson E. Hafar Aug. 5. 1927, in Waterloo.

She is survived by a son, Raymond of Santa Paula. Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. LaVella Strottman of Coralville; five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
