CEDAR FALLS, IOWA — Marcella Kapela, 89, of Cedar Falls, and formerly of Waldron, Arkansas, and Hudson, died February 9, 2013, at Windhaven Assisted Living Center, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

She was born January 14, 1924, in Hudson, daughter of Homer and Leona Franck. She married William Kapela in 1941. He preceded her in death.

Survived by two sons, William (Jane) and Jerry (Kim); a daughter, Kathie (Don) Diffenderfer; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Allen Franck.

Services: family services will be held at a later date. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.
