ELK RUN HEIGHTS — Robert John Lee Sr., 44, of Elk Run Heights, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

He was born Dec. 15, 1968, in Waterloo, son of John Lee and Susan Mervin.

Mr. Lee attended Waterloo East High School. He was a factory worker for many companies in Iowa and Florida.

Survived by a son, Robert John Jr. (Sabrina) of Waterloo; a grandson, Robert John Lee III; his mother and stepfather, Susan and Jerry Mervin of Elk Run Heights; a brother, Mike Pedersen of Cedar Falls; five sisters, Sheri Lee-Bowman of Traer, Nicole Lee of Denver, Tami (Matt) Sheridan of New Hartford, Steffanie (Cory) Lee of Waterloo and Tiffany Lee of Lawrence, Kan.; two stepsisters, Michelle Kassisse and her family of Aurora, Colo., and Mellisa Gunther and her family of Fort Collins, Colo.; 11 nieces and nephews; and many friends and extended family.

Preceded in death by his father.

Services: 4:30 p.m. today at Countryside Vineyard Church, Evansdale. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Countryside Vineyard Church.

In his early years, Rob was very involved with martial arts and received a black belt. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing guitar, fishing, hunting, motorcycle trips and the Chicago Bears.
