RESIDENT OF CEDAR FALLS PASSED AWAY FRIDAY EVENING IN LOS ANGELES, CALIF. VICTIM OF LUNG TROUBLE

Went to California Early Last Fall for

Grieves Passing of Good Citizen.

Cedar Falls, March 10.—Special: Genuine and universal grief has been manifested In Cedar Falls today over the message this morning that our fellow townsman, Edward F. Mornin, passed away at 8:30 o'clock last evening in Los Angeles, Calif., where he went early last fall hoping, as did his many friends, to regain his health.

Last spring Mr. Mornin suffered a severe lung trouble from which he never fully recovered. A few days ago a return of the hemorrhages reduced his strength and the end came quickly.

With him in the delightful winter resort were his sister, Mrs. Harry Morrison and his brother, George S. Mornin, who joined him there only about two weeks ago. There were also present Mrs. M. N. Dayton and her daughters, Mrs. G. S. Mornin, and Misses Harriet and Mabel Dayton. The father, Mr. Patrick Mornin, was the only absent member of the family and he is with friends in this city. For him great sympathy is expressed.

Edward F. Mornin was born and reared in Cedar Falls and with his genial, happy nature wag beloved by everybody who knew him. For some years he has been connected with the drug firm of Mornin & Carney, at first as clerk and since the death of his brother, Charles W. Mornin, a member of the firm. The deceased was twenty-eight years old. His mother died a number of years ago. The family has always held strong ties of affection for each other and the entire community expresses sympathy for them in this sad blow.

No particulars as to funeral arrangements have yet been received.
