WATERLOO — Darlene G. Doughty, 77, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of cancer.

She was born May 8, 1935, in Albert Lea, Minn., daughter of Clarence and Ruth Anderson Bridley. She married Jerry Henriksen in Albert Lea, and they were later divorced. She then married M. Arlo Doughty on July 29, 1976, in Tulsa, Okla.

Mrs. Doughty was a seamstress at Powers Manufacturing.

Survived by her husband; a son, Scott (Cheryl) Henriksen of Gordonsville, Minn.; four stepsons: Jim C. Doughty, Tom F. (Peg) Doughty, Michael G. (Jill) Doughty, all of Washington, and Marshall A. (Bonnie) Doughty of North Platte, Neb.; a daughter, Vickey (Michael) Smith of Waterloo; a brother, Dwaine Bridley of Gordonsville, Minn.; a sister, Darla Beighley of Gordonsville; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Rick Henriksen.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and before services Tuesday. Her body has been cremated.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Faith Lutheran Church.
