Funeral services for Sidney M. Purinton, 68, 451 Cherry Street, who died Friday afternoon at University Hospital, Iowa City, from paralysis, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the Hileman & Gindt Chapel, in charge of V.A. Hall, L.D.S. Burial will be in Fairview.

Deceased had been in ill health several years and entered the hospital three weeks ago. His recovery was looked for until he suffered the paralytic stroke.

Purinton had been a well driller and pump repairman in Waterloo for the last 30 years. He was born July 3, 1856, on a farm in Van Buren township, Jackson county, Ia., where he grew to manhood.

He was twice married, to Miss Emma Krues at Clinton about 1877 and to Miss Mary C. Hardin, Sept. 7, 1898, at Waterloo. Purinton was a member of Preston, Ia., lodge, No. 152, I.O.O.F.

Surviving besides his widow, are a son by his second marriage, Bert Purinton, 807 Kern Street, and two daughters by the former union.
