The great white plague ended the mortal existence of Mrs. Magdalene Jordan, wife of W. E. Jordan, at 9:40 yesterday morning at their home, 72 Adams Street.

Although a sufferer for some time from consumption, death was some what unlooked for. She had been ill for the past three weeks, most critically, however, for the past few days.

Decedent was born in Denmark, her maiden name being Miss Magdalene Christiansen. When only fourteen years of age her parents removed to America and settled in the east. After a few years they removed to Sioux Falls. S. D. where she met Mr. Jordan and they were married, later coming to Waterloo about six years ago. Mr. Jordan is employed by the; Illinois Central Railroad Company.

Two children came to bless the union, Orma, aged five, and Evan aged one year, who with their father are left to mourn the loss.

The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon from the residence. Rev. Beeman officiating.
