HUDSON — Charles “Chuck” Woodman, 75, of Hudson, died at home Thursday, Jan. 10, following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 27, 1937, in Waverly, son of Harold W. and Grace L. Oleson Woodman. He married Janice Fern Klunder on March 2, 1958, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, Clarksville.

He graduated from Nashua High School in 1955. Mr. Woodman worked as a carpenter with Oleson Construction, then as a department manager at Sears & Roebuck. He was a driver for Western Transportation and Wonder Bread (CBC) in Waterloo, retiring after 13 years in 1995. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hudson, a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Assoc. and Teamsters Union Member, past member of Waterloo Waterhawks, Haylofters and Windmill Spinners Squaredance Clubs and served as Cubmaster of Pack 10 in Waterloo.

Survived by: his wife of Hudson, three sons, Scott (Susan) of Eldora, Steve (Jackie) of Traer and Stuart (Jenny) of Mount Holly, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Thomas (Heather), Bradley (Ashley), David (Jill), Benjamin, Peter, Peyton, Charley Jo, Christina and Louis; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Naomi; and two brothers, Eldon (Gayle) of Golden, Ill., and Richard (Lois) of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Susan Jo Woodman; and a brother, Doyle Woodman.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church of Hudson, with burial in Lyn Wood Cemetery, Clarksville. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or the Rehabilitation Unit of Covenant Medical Center.
