HUDSON — Rick Wiebensohn, 59, of Hudson, died Sunday, Oct. 14, in Waterloo.

He was born Dec. 9, 1952, in Marshalltown, son of Pete and Marlene Storjohann Wiebensohn. He married Becky Juchems on Nov. 26, 1977.

Mr. Wiebensohn graduated from Gladbrook High School in 1971, then served in the U.S. Army. Upon his return, he attended the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls. In 1976 he began a career at Bearing Distributors. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Gladbrook.

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Carrie (Ryan) Thompson of West Des Moines and Rene Wiebensohn of Los Angeles; a granddaughter; his mother; and a brother, Ken (Angie) of Gladbrook.

Preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, Roland and Rodney.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Peace United Church of Christ, Gladbrook, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, north of Gladbrook, with full military honors by Gladbrook American Legion Ehrig-McTurk Post. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church. Mitchell Family Funeral Home, Marshalltown, is in charge of arrangements.
