Leo, the eight-months-old baby of Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Buehner, died this morning at the home, 326 Adams Street, as the result of burns received on Tuesday.

The mother had filled the washing machine with boiling water preparatory to washing and when she stepped into an adjoining room for a few minutes, the baby toddled across the room and pulled the stopper from the machine. The boiling water splashed over him and scalded him so seriously that death came as the result today.

The baby was a bright little fellow and a favorite of the neighborhood. Everyone sympathizes deeply with the parents in their sudden sad loss. Two little girls are the only others in the family.
