Frederick Ischer Dies While Visiting in St. Paul.

Word was received in Waterloo today of the death of Frederick Ischer, a longtime resident of Waterloo, who was been making his home for the past few months with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Lindner in St. Paul. Death carne Sunday at 6 p pm as the result of a stroke of paralysis which Mr. Isher had suffered about three weeks ago.

Deceased lived in Waterloo for many years being employed in the Carpenter department at the Illinois Central Shops and during his long residence here, he made many close friends.

His wife died in Waterloo several years ago and is buried at Fairview Cemetery.

Deceased was born, in Switzerland in 1828 and was 79 at his last birthday. He came to America when he was fourteen years of age and with his parents settled in Dubuque. About twenty-five years go, he came to Waterloo and resided here continuously until a few months ago when he went to St. Paul in order to be near his children all of whom are now residing there.

Four children are left to mourn their father's death: Mrs. C. Warlich, Mrs. S. Johnson, [Mrs.??] Fred Lindner and Charles Ischer. The oldest son, Louis Ischer died in Texas a year ago where he had gone on account of his health.

The funeral services will be held in St. Paul on Tuesday afternoon and the remains will be brought to Waterloo for burial. Rev. H. Lutz, pastor of the First Lutheran Church will officiate and the services will be held at the home of Louis Alter, 128 Quincy Street on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30.
