Donald R. Sickman

DUNKERTON - Services for Donald R. Sickman, 32, of Dunkerton, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at O'Keefe and Towne Funeral Home in Waterloo, with burial in the Old Barclay Cemetery in Barclay Township.

He died at 8:20 p.m. Saturday at Allen Memorial Hospital of injuries sustained in an accident on E. Mullan Avenue in Waterloo Saturday evening.

He was born May 5, 1945, in Glasgow, Mo., son of Albert J. and Cecilia Neville Sickman.

On Jan. 20, 1966, he married Patricia Tibbitts in Sacramento, Calif. They were later divorced. He married Linda Garbes on April 2, 1971, in Galena, Illinois. He had been employed as an ironworker with various firms in the metro area, and was a Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Monty, 10, and Damon, 11, of 313 Central Ave., Evansdale; two daughters, Shawn,
4, and Sonia, 3, and a stepson, Scott, 9, all at home in Dunkerton; five brothers: Eugene of Houston, Tex., Thomas and
Larry, both of Parkville, Mo., Richard of Glasgow. Mo., and Joe of Redding. Calif.

Military rites will be conducted at the grave by the Dunkerton American Legion Post No. 636.

A Dunkerton man, Donald Roy Sickman, 32, was fatally injured Saturday when the pickup truck he was driving crashed into a utility pole in the 700 block of E. Mullan Avenue. Two passengers were injured.
