BURGESS, KNICKERBOCKER, WILSON

James H. Burgess, aged seventy-one years, passed away at his home, 1210 Clay street, at 7:30 Friday evening, after an illness of ten days. Mr. Burgess has been a resident of this city for nearly twenty years and leaves a host of friends to mourn his loss.

Deceased was born in New York state on September 5, 1858, and is survived by his wife and three children. They are Rev. G. F. Burgess of Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Wm. Knickerbocker of Oelwein, and Mrs. George F. Wilson of this city.

The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the residence at 1210 Clay street, conducted by Dr. G.H. Birney and interment will be at Fairview.
