Mrs. Bernice Purinton

Services are pending at the Chapel of Memories West for Mrs. Bernice Purinton, 78, of 242 Madison St, who died at Robert's Waterloo Care Center at 5:30 p m. Sunday of complications of age.

She was born July 3, 1897, in Roland, the daughter of Michael and Lena Ryen Michaelson. She married Fredrick Waugh Jan. 1, 1917, in Roland. He died in 1937. She married Bert Purinton Dec. 16, 1954, in Waukon, and he died March 28, 1976.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Ellifson of Overland Park, Kan,; a step-daughter, Mrs Dorothy Harper of 824 W. Seventh St,, Cedar Falls; and a sister, Mrs. Jessie Twedt of 2083 Howard Ave.
