Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of Memories West for Thomas R Gilley, 94, of 420 Locust St., who died at St. Francis Hospital at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday of complications of advanced age. Friends may call after noon Thursday until service time. Friends who wish may contribute to a memorial, which has been established at the Walnut Ridge Baptist Church building fund in his memory.

Mr. Gilley was born on Feb, 5, 1878 at Gilbertville, the son of Michael and Averice Kimball Gilley.

He married Lula M. Poyner on Jan. 29, 1901 in Raymond. Mr. Gilley was a member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. He spent his entire life in the Waterloo area as a farmer.

Surviving are his wife; 420 Locust St.; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Friedley of Corpus Christi, Texas; Mrs. Norma Jean Siepter of Baltimore, Md ; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
