THOMPSON, SEVERSON, DUNN, DOUGLASS, JOHNSON, JERDEE

Sever M. Thompson, 53, section man for the Waterloo, Cedar Falls & Northern Railway for 15 years, died of pneumonia at 7:15 p. m. Saturday in his home at 301 Center Street, after a week's illness.

Mr. Thompson, who was born near New Hampton, Iowa, Sept. 4, 1883. He had been a resident of Waterloo for 28 years, coming here from Chickasaw County. He was the son of Thomas and Sarah (Severson) Thompson. He was married in Waterloo June 28, 1911, to Miss Myrtle H. Dunn, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons: Vern S. of 914 Logan Avenue, Arthur B. and Charles A., at home; three daughters: Olive L., Hazel L. and Arlene Delores, all at home; one granddaughter, Barbara Ann Thompson, 914 Logan; two brothers, John Thompson of 211 Harwood Avenue and Ole Thompson of Lawler, Iowa; three sisters: Mrs. E. L. Douglass of 914 Lincoln Street, Mrs. John Jerdee of Lawler and Mrs. Anna Johnson of New Hampton.

A daughter, Arlene B. Thompson died December 7, 1915; a sister, Susie Thompson, died in 1910, and two brothers, Thomas and Andrew, died in 1906 and 1904, respectively.

Mr. Thompson was a member of East Park Presbyterian Church.

The body was taken to Kistner Funeral Home.
