MRS. ELIZABETH PARROTT WENNER

Mrs. Elizabeth Parrott Wenner, 89, of 449 Martin Rd., died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at her home of a heart attack. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 p.m. Monday.

She was born Jan. 25, 1884, in Waterloo, daughter of William F., and Jennie Fisher Parrott.

She was graduated from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon with an art degree.

Mrs. Wenner painted the official picture of former Lt. Governor Matt Parrott of Iowa which hangs in the Iowa State Capitol Building.

She was married to Edward J. Wenner on Aug. 17, 1910, in Waterloo.

A life-long member of Christ Episcopal Church, she was also a member of the women's circle of the church.

Surviving are two sons, Frank Wenner of Davenport, Jackson C. Wenner of 247 Prospect Blvd.; one brother, Robert W. Parrott of 801 Sheridan Rd.; a sister, Mrs. Frances Pearson of 280 Derbyshire Dr.; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Parrott Wenner, 89, of 449 Martin Road, will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home. Cannon Rector Charles Gunnell of St. Andrews, Episcopal Church, Waverly, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Wenner died at her home Sunday morning.
