WATERLOO — Darlys Ione Voshell, 80, of Waterloo, formerly of Oelwein, died at home Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012.

She was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Waverly, daughter of Oscar and Rosina Pierce Grapp. She married Lawrence Wesley Voshell on March 10, 1965, in Galena, Ill. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Voshell graduated from Waverly High School and was employed at US West, Waterloo, for 35 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Oelwein.

Survived by two daughters, Debra Kruse and Tamara Voshell, both of Waterloo; a son, Douglas (Vila) Ahrenholz of New Hartford; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, John (Eleanor) Grapp of New Mexico; and two sisters, Laverne (Pete) Smith and Audrey (Ross) Sinkey, both of New Mexico.

Preceded in death by a great-granddaugther, Alexis; two sisters, Donna and Caroline; and a brother, Billy Grapp.

Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Floral Hills Funeral Home, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, both in rural Oelwein. Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.

Darlys enjoyed spending time with her family, word searches, crocheting and gardening.
