DROWNED

Charles Warner, a young man about twenty-two years of age, was drowned near the east bank of the river just below the lower dam about three o'clock yesterday afternoon. Warner had been fishing at the dam. The cork came off his line and he went in to get it. While coming back to shore, Warner was seen to roll over and sink, and before assistance could reach him he was gone. He was in the water about five or ten minutes before the body was recovered.

Warner lived with his sister, Mrs. Lizer, corner of Twelfth and Bluff Streets. He was a plasterer by trade, and worked with John Hurley.

The remains were conveyed to his home, and we understand funeral services will be held today.
