Owen H. Hershberger

Services for Owen H. Hershberger, 87, of 1210 Hammond Avc.. will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cornwall Avenue Free Methodist Church.

Mr. Hershberger died early Saturday at Parkview Gardens Care Center, where he had been a resident for some time. Friends may call at the Kearns-Dykeman Chapel after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

He was born in Grantsville. Md.. Oct. 19, 1880, son of James S. and Fannie Gnaggy Hershberger.

He married Velma Summy Sept. 11. 1932. in Waterloo. He and his brother. Floyd, owned and operated the Hershberger Bros. Grocery store at W. Ninth and South streets for many years.

He was a charter member of the Cornwall Avenue Free Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Floyd of 122 Maryland Ave., and Paul of Jesup; two sisters, Mrs. Leota Fahrney of 1810 Timberledge Dr., Cedar Falls, and Mrs. Louise Meshaw of 620 W. Third St.
