OSAGE, IOWA - James "Jim" Dunkelberg, 66, of Osage, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at his home in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Rev. Bryan Lagerstam officiating. There will be a flag presentation by Osage American Legion Post 278. Burial will be in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home.

Jim Dunkelberg

(Died January 1, 2013)

James “Jim” Dunkelberg, age 66, of Osage, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at his home in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Rev. Bryan Lagerstam officiating. There will be a flag presentation by Osage American Legion Post 278. Burial will be in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Friday. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home.

Jim was born May 18, 1946, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Robert and Corinne (Hutchison) Dunkelberg. He graduated from West Waterloo High School and attended Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls. He was an insurance salesman and then worked in Waterloo for the family lumberyard, Cedar Valley Lumber Company. In recent years, Jim worked in advertising sales. He had lived in Osage for over 15 years. Jim served in the U. S. Army Reserves. He enjoyed golf, playing cards, fishing, camping and listening to talk radio. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Jim is survived by his children, Rob (Billie Jo Herman) Dunkelberg of Osage, Nicole Adams of Houston, Texas, Chris (Angelina) Dunkelberg of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Judy Champion of Osage, Sue (Gary) Schulz of Melrose; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Jim Champion.
