MOUNT AUBURN - Frederick J. "Fritz" Heidt, 61, of Mount Auburn, formerly of Jesup, died Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, following a lengthy illness.

He was born March 10, 1945, in Black Hawk County, son of Medar and Elsie McKeen Heidt. He married Marcella Pettengill and they later divorced, He then married Leanne Cecilia Pint on Aug. 1, 1970, in Marion. She died in 1991. He later married Laura Kae Fehr Boomer on Dec. 18, 1998, in Mount Auburn.

Mr. Heidt graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1963.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Shane (Lori) of California and Jason (Heather) of Altoona; three daughters, Elisha Heidt of Waterloo, Andrea Heit (Greg Dietzenbach) of Anamosa and Amanda Heit (Denny Horn) of Evansdale; four grandchildren; a stepson, Eric (Deb) Karr of Council Bluffs; a stepgrandson; and two sisters, Mary Hilton of Overgaard, Ariz., and Bonnie (Bill) Cavin of Cedar Rapids.

Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Harry; and a sister, Ramona Frieling.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at White Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Crest Cemetery, both in Jesup. Public visitation after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
