WATERLOO - Florence L. Knudsen, 70, of Parkview Gardens Nursing and Rehab Center, died Friday, May 4, 2001, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 23, 1930, in Pittsburgh, daughter of John P. and Caroline Timco Ploch. She married Ralph L. Knudsen on March 23, 1953, in Cumberland, Md. He died Aug. 17, 1990.

Survived by two sons, Tim of Cedar Falls and Russell J. of Waverly; two daughters, Sherri L. Bond of Cresco and Cynthia Lou Knudsen of Bartlesville, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by a son, Ralph Jr.; and a brother, Edward J. Ploch.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo, with burial in Dike Cemetery, Dike. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
