CEDAR FALLS - Etta V. Reardon, 97, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, died there Tuesday, May 1, 2001, of natural causes.

She was born June 13, 1903, in Waterloo, daughter of William J. and Isabell Weekley Ackerman.
She married Erwin Kuhrt July 5, 1933, in Waterloo; he died in November 1952. She then married John Reardon in Davenport; they were later divorced.

Mrs. Reardon had worked at the University of Northern Iowa Library as a check-out clerk, retiring in 1973, and was a past worthy matron for Order of Eastern Star Chapter 189, Jesup.

Survived by two grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lily Piper of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a son, Jack Ackerman; a grandson; a brother, Willy; and three sisters, Helen Thode, Clara Ackerman and a sister in infancy.

Commital services: will take place at a later date in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Her body was deeded to the University of Iowa. There will be no visitation. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
