CEDAR FALLS — Shirley K. Berry Robinson, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born July 18, 1939, in Waterloo, daughter of Dale M. and Marian L. Barron Simpson. She married Lloyd H. Berry on June 12, 1960, in Waterloo. He died May 10, 2005. She married Robert L. Robinson on Sept. 30, 2006.

Mrs. Robinson graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1957 and earned her teaching certificate from Iowa State Teachers College (now UNI). She taught first grade in Tripoli and Winthrop, raised her family, worked at Bishop’s Buffet, Exceptional Persons Inc., Affina and in the lunch room at Hansen Elementary School. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Woodland Investment Club.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Diane (Kent) Prescott of Waverly and Denise Berry of Cedar Falls; a son, Mark (Kim) Berry of Indianapolis, Ind.; nine grandchildren, Joanna, David, Joseph and Rebecca Berry and Jordan, Keri, Mason, Cole and Emmalia Prescott; a sister, Marlys Simpson of Cedar Falls; and a brother, Tom (Michele) Simpson of Athens, Ga.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery at a later date. Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Service, and also for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Western Home Foundation or the church.
