EVANSDALE — Eric William Jones, 38, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., formerly of Evansdale, died at home Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, of natural causes.

He was born July 4, 1974, in New Hampton, son of Donna Huegel Jones.

Mr. Jones attended St. John’s School and graduated from Columbus High School. He also attended the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls.

Survived by his mother of Evansdale; two sisters, Karine (Tony) Schager of Postville and Lindy Jones of Eugene, Ore.; a brother, Jordan of Evansdale; and his longtime companion, Mike Peterson of Wisconsin Rapids.

Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Leo Huegel and Ellen Huegel Laures, and his mother’s longtime companion, Don DeCook.

Celebration of Life: 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Evansdale. Private family services will be held at a later date.
