CEDAR FALLS — Eli A. Ostby, 37, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, in Waterloo.

He was born Aug. 21, 1975, in Waterloo, son of Steven and Hilda Mouw Ostby. He married Lisa Hokomoto on May 23, 1998, in Cedar Falls, and they later divorced.

Mr. Ostby graduated from Northern University High School in 1993 and earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Iowa in 2003. He was employed as a personnel recruiter for Boss and Associates, and most recently worked in sales with Yellowbook, both in Cedar Rapids.

Survived by two daughters, Bella and Alia Ostby, both of Des Moines; a son, Luther of Des Moines; his parents of Cedar Falls; two sisters, Shannon (DJ) Perkins of Hurst, Texas, and Leah (Dusty Overman) Ostby of Luzerne; three brothers, Aaron Uban of Minneapolis, his twin Max Ostby of Iowa City and Joseph Ostby of Denver, Colo.; and maternal grandparents, Dr. Orvin and Tean Mouw of Burleson, Texas.

Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Roger and Naomi Ostby.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church, with inurnment at a later date in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Service, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
