Darlene H. Knebel, 72, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at her home.

She was born May 17, 1934 in Cresco, daughter of Emil and Helen Bouska Praska. She married Leo Norbert Knebel on October 31, 1954, at St. Johns Catholic Church in Waterloo.

Survivors include her husband; five sons: Daniel L. of Waterloo, Roger A. (Hope) of Waterloo, Timothy L. of Des Moines, Terry J. of Waterloo, and Kevin J. (Erin) of Simi Valley, CA; one daughter, Yvonne D. (Howard) Shepard of Parkersburg; five grandchildren: Chris (Dawn) Shepard, Melissa (Chad) Knipp, Jenny (Mike) Kuehl, Kyler Knebel, and Erika Knebel eight great-grandchildren: Jasmine Knipp, Chance Knipp, Christian Shepard, Luke Shepard; Savanna Kuehl, Ian Kuehl, Kayden Kuehl, and Kirstan Kuehl.

She was preceded by her parents and one sister Bernidine (Ivan) Henkle.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday April 2 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 -8:00 pm on Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4:00 p.m. rosary by the Legion of Mary. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church on Monday.

Memorials may be made to the family.
