Shirley J. Hentges, 82, of Bartonville, Illinois, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Peoria, Illinois.

She was born February 15, 1925 in Fredericksburg, daughter of Russell and Gladys Niemeyer Yearling.

She marrried Ralph "Porky" Hentges. He died in 1994. Mrs. Hentges was a teachers aid at River Hills School for several years.

Survivors include a daughter, Vicki (Darby) Lawrence of Bartonville; a son Larry Hentges of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 7:00 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will also be for one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
