Paul W. Ohlenkamp, 71, of Elk Run Heights, died Wednesday March 7, 2007, at home, of natural causes. He was born April 24, 1935 in Slayton, Minnesota, the son of Fred and Irene Housman Ohlenkamp.

He married Marlene Gleason on June 5, 1954 in Fulda, Minnesota. Mr. Ohlenkamp was employed with Rath Packing Company for 30 years, Home Shopping for 12 years, and Everett Sutton Construction for 20 years, retiring in April of 1999. He served in the United States Army and Navy Reserves.

Paul is survived by his wife of Elk Run Heights; three sons: Michael Paul (Brenda) of Waterloo, Michael Ray, and David Michael, all of Elk Run Heights; three daughters: Raelene (Joe) Lentz of Evansdale, Teresa (Tom) Hoffman of Waterloo, and Susan (Jerry) Kerns of Evansdale; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Don (Irene) Lambert of Alexandria, Minnesota, and Norville Gleason of Waterloo; several nieces nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents; a sister Betty Lambert; and a grandson Jeremy Paul Simpson.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by the Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Public visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 6:00 p.m. 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Rosary and a 7:00 p.m. Vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church on Saturday.
