Dorothy B. Rumpza, 72, died Monday, March 5, 2007, at her home from cancer. She was born April 27, 1934 in Day County South Dakota daughter of John A. and Clara M. Janisch Lentsch.

She married Leonard John Rumpza on February 1, 1958, in Webster, South Dakota. Dorothy was employed as a retail sales clerk at Wal-Mart for 5 years retiring in 1989.

Survivors include her husband, Leonard; two sons, Charles A. and Leonard L. both of Waterloo; one daughter, Cynthia A. (Naim) Mustafa of London, England; five brothers: Herbert W. ( May) Lentsch, F.J. Ole Lentsch, all of Waterloo; Peter (Loretta)Lentsch of Brownton, MN, John M. (Karen) Lentsch of Veblen, S.D., Alfred (Sharon) Lentsch of Manchester, NH; six sisters: Phil Dolney of Blooming, Prairie MN, Mary (Harold) Flammang of Kinde, MI, Margaret Block of Desert Palms, CA, Ann (Rudy) Ettlin of Webster, MN, Victoria Sheetz of Phoenix, AZ, and Julie (Dave)Olson of Stillwater, MN.

Preceded by a sister, Agnes Kadrlik and a brother in infancy.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a 6 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
