William C. Crinigan Sr., 76, died Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born July 26, 1930, in Waterloo, son of Bernard J. and Linea E. Anderson Crinigan.

He married Annette Puhl on November 15, 1957 in Marshalltown. Bill was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a brakeman with the Illinois Central Railroad for 37 years retiring in 1985.

Survivors include his wife, Annette; a son, William C. Crinigan Jr. of Waterloo; two daughters, Cathryn (Dan) Snapp and Christine (Bruce) Friedly. both of Waterloo; seven grandchildren: Michael (Tennille) Fain, Monica (Greg) Toyne, T.J. (Bryn) Stocks, Angela Fain, Tara ( James) Griffin, Conner Friedly, and Cayler Friedly; six great-grandchildren: Nicholas Toyne, McKayla Fain, Elizabeth Fain, Brandon Toyne, Joselynn Stocks, and Harper Griffin; two brothers, Richard (Lila) Crinigan and John Crinigan both of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Nancy (Robert) Royer of Lisbon.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service South Street Waterloo where full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo Amvets Post 19 and Evansdale Amvets Post 31. Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday and for an hour before services on Monday.

Memorials may be made to the family.
