WATERLOO — Susan J. Rowe, 59, of North Port, Fla., formerly of Waterloo, died at home Sept. 23, 2012.

She was born Aug. 15, 1953, to Robert and Norma Schuchhardt Papach.

She was a graduate of Waterloo West High School and the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in medical technology/microbiology. She spent her career as a laboratory medical technologist in Waterloo and southwest Florida.

Survived by a son, DJ Leopard of Madison, Wis.; and a grandson, Aedan Drewis of Denver, Colo.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica J. Drewis.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Dec. 1 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Madison.

Her interests included playing the electric organ, ceramics and needlepoint. She will be dearly missed.
