Harrington Buck

Services for Harrington Buck, 64, of 406 Wilshire Ave., will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Thursday. Buck died of a heart attack while vacationing in Phoenix, Ariz., late Tuesday.

Mr. Buck was born Jan. 2, 1911, in Spirit Lake, the son of Harry and Charlotte Chisholm Buck. He married Gertrude Brown Jan. 17, 1936, in State Center.

He graduated from Drake University in 1933, with an L.L.D. He practiced law in Iowa and Colorado and was a member of the bar associations of the two states. He came here in 1947, and became associated with Matt Parrott and Sons printing firm, and was president of the company at the time he died.

He was on the advisory committee of the State Auto Consulting Underwriters of Des Moines, and served on the board of directors of the Statesmen's Insurance Group and had been state financial chairman for the Republican party.

Survivors include a son, David, of Milwaukee, Wis., and a daughter, Mrs. Jon Jacobson of Dubuque.

The family asks that memorials be given to the Heart Fund.
