James E. Peters

Services for James E. Peters, 48, of 2023 Mulberry St., will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

There will be a Scripture service at 8 p.m. Thursday at Oppold Funeral Home.

Mr. Peters died at 9:38 p.m. Tuesday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack.

He was born July 4, 1926, in Fairbank, the son of Leo and Vera Preble Peters. He married Ninette (Nan) Hart April 17, 1949.

Survivors include his wife; three sons: James II of 2235 Lincoln St., Lot 93, Cedar Falls, and Ronald and Dan, both of 1127 Lincoln St., Cedar Falls; two daughters, Nancy and Julie, both at home; a sister, Miss Velma Peters of Fairbank; four brothers, Louis of Fairbank, Dale of Longmont, Colo., Thomas of 200 Linden Ave., and Fr. Paul Peters of 554 Sunset Rd.

Memorials may be given to Columbus High School and to St. John's School education fund.
