WATERLOO - Gladine Kathryn Lemon, 76, died Monday January 22, 2007, at Allen Memorial Hospital of multiple myeloma. She was born November 18, 1930 in Clutier, daughter of Albert C. and Mary M. Zmolek Kriz.

She graduated from Clutier High School in 1949. She married Herman L. Lemon on July 22, 1950 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Waterloo. Gladine was employed as a stock clerk at John Deere Mfg. Co. and at Chamberlins for several years.

Survivors include her husband Herman; six daughters: Nancy (Jim) Higgins) of Waterloo, Catherine Merritt (David Becker) of Waterloo, Janice (Jim) Hibbert of Portland, Tennessee, Diane (John) Hoffman Ramona (Tom) Glaza and Roberta (Scott) Emerson all of Waterloo; one daughter-in-law Mary Beth Lemon Skiles (Larry) of Cedar Falls; 16 grandchildren: Jennifer Higgins, Matthew (Sara) Higgins, Joshua Higgins (Tara Stillman), Keith Hibbert, David Hibbert, Nicole (Shawn Rand) Weliver, Brock Weliver, Kyle Weliver, Jessica (Brandon Reyes) Glaza, Rachel Glaza, Timothy Glaza, Chad Emerson, Derek Emerson, John Emerson, Leslie (Joe) Tripp-Rieks, Christopher Lemon (Amber Brockmeyer) and Luke Skiles; four step-grandchildren: Jacob Hoffman, Joshua Hoffman, Sarah McMillian, and Zachary Hoffman; seven great-grandchildren: Alyssa Glaza, Kyla Reyes, Dylan Reyes, Anthony Rand, Madeleine Rand, Maci Higgins, and Bode Higgins; one sister-in-law Marjorie Kriz of Dysart.

Preceded by one son, John Lemon in 1987; three brothers: Wesley (Arlene) Kriz, Robert Kriz, and Anthony Kriz; one sister, Leona (Mike) Adams.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with burial at the Gardens of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8pm Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a 4pm rosary and a 7pm vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church on Friday.

Memorials may be made to the church.
