WATERLOO — Marlene Ann Hughbanks, 74, of Waterloo, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at home.

She was born Aug. 19, 1938 in Nevada, Iowa. She married Martin Hughbanks on Oct. 27, 1990, in New London.

She attended Edison, Sloane Wallace and West High School.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Jeff (Lynn) Hinkle of Marshalltown and John (Kelly) Wright of Ackley; three daughters, Debbie (Daniel) Oliver of New London, Kathie Schroeder of Waterloo and Elva Sue Coon of Marshalltown; a stepson Wayne (Mecekah) Hughbanks of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepdaughter Anita (Dallas) Ackerson of Waterloo; a brother, Gary (Marlene) Hendricks of Horton; 14 grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Orange Township Cemetery, Waterloo.

A memorial fund has been established.
