Dorothy B. Campbell, age 94, of Cedar Falls, Iowa died Sunday, October 30, 2005 at home of natural causes.

Dorothy was born June 23, 1911 in Washington County, Iowa the daughter of William and Arminta Wallace Smylie. She graduated from high school in Ainsworth, Iowa. On November 15, 1941 Dorothy was united in marriage to Clifford C. Campbell in Washington. Clifford brought to the marriage his three young daughters Joann, Janice and Judy.

Dorothy lived most of her life in Washington retiring with Clifford to Mesa, Arizona. After Clifford's death in 1989 she moved to Cedar Falls, Iowa where she lived with her daughter Christine and husband Ron Streed. Dorothy was an avid flower gardener, an irresistible pie maker and a wise and caring human being who loved her cats.

Survivors include her daughter Christine (Crit) Streed of Cedar Falls, Iowa; son James Campbell of Wellsville, Utah; daughter Janice Gerlits of Coralville, Iowa; daughter Judy Hansel of Coralville, Iowa; six grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford C. Campbell, two brothers Richard and Earl Smylie, a sister Margaret Leatherberry, a son John Campbell, a daughter Joann Erlenbush and a granddaughter Somer Streed.

Burial observance will be held 12:00 PM Friday, November 4, at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. A memorial has been established for the Cedar Valley Hospice, Waterloo, Iowa.
