Kevin L. Motsinger, 52, of, of Waterloo, died Sunday morning September 16, 2012, at his home of a melanoma.

He was born November 5, 1959 in Waterloo, the son of Orval and Kay Ayres Motsinger. He married Karen Swinton on May 5, 1995 n Waterloo.

Kevin was employed in heating and cooling for 15 years and from July, 2001 as an energy specialist at Cedar Falls Utilities.

He is survived by his wife; his mother, Kay Brandhorst of Waterloo; three sons, Blaine of Houston, TX, Andy of Mason City, Aaron (Katie) of Waterloo; one sister, Audrey (Paul) Burger of Waterloo, and 1 grandson.

He was preceded in death by his father and step-father Hank Brandhorst.

Services will be Thursday, Sept 20, at 10:30 A.M. at Hagerman Baptist Church with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball from 4-7 P.M. Wednesday and an hour before services at the church.
