Agnes S. Lumsden 87, of Waterloo died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at ManorCare Health Services.

She was born September 19, 1919 in RR Buchanan County, daughter of Michael and Catherine Shannon Meany.

She married Howard W. Lumsden on February 8, 1947, in Independence. She was employed at Sibert Laundry as an office manager.

Survivors include three daughters: Mary Jo (Dale) Slocum of Cedar Rapids, Marlys (Woody) Fiala of Baudette, MN, Sally (Norm) Smyth of Cambria, CA; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. two brothers, Owen Meany of Waterloo and Roger (Iva) Meany of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by one sister, Gladys (Richard) Dann.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Gilbertville with burial in St. Marys Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8pm on Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a 4pm Rosary and a 7pm Vigil. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church on Monday.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
