Alexander “Alex” Keith Graber, 19, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. He was born February 10, 1993 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Keith and Linda (Bundt) Graber.

Alex attended Hansen Elementary School, Holmes Jr. High School, and graduated from Cedar Falls High School. He participated in the Northstar Day Hab Program and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. Alex loved his pets, especially his cat, Murphy. He loved music and dancing, dance parties with friends and EPI staff. Alex enjoyed eating at McDonalds, reading and looking at family photographs. He loved playing Wheel of Fortune and listening to his Ipod. Alex especially enjoyed visiting with family, friends and the EPI staff.

Survivors include his parents, Keith and Linda Graber, of Cedar Falls; his sister, Allison Graber, of Cedar Falls; maternal grandparents, Lyle and Jane Bundt, of Breda, Iowa and paternal grandparents, Richard and Betty Graber, of Sibley, Iowa; aunts and uncles, Nancy and Larry Rowedder of Wall Lake, Iowa, David Bundt of Harrisonville, Missouri, Sue and Neil Graber of West Des Moines, Iowa, Peggy and Dallas Blome of Fenton, Missouri, and Tracy and John Van Diepen of Ocheyedan, Iowa, and seventeen first cousins.

Alex was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Edna and Earl Bundt, Laura and Elmer Hard, Nettie and Elmer Graber, and Ella and Art Auen.

Services will be 10:00 am Monday, September 17, 2012, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Services also 3:30 pm Monday at Wheatland Presbyterian Church, rural Breda, Iowa, followed by inurnment in Wheatland Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be 4—7:00 pm Sunday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo, Cedar Valley Hospice or Exceptional Persons, Inc. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is assisting the family.
