Beulah Mavis (Getty) Carlson, was born July 28, 1913 at New Rockford, North Dakota the daughter of Henry & Martha (Horning) Getty. She died Thursday, October 23, 2003 at her home at the age of 90 years.

She married Russell Carlson January 27, 1935 in Cedar Falls. He died September 24, 2001. Beulah was very active in her church having served as a Sunday School Teacher and a Lay Leader.

Survivors include one son, Donald (Nancy) Carlson, of Waverly, Iowa; three daughters: Donna (Tom) Osborn of New Hartford, Iowa, Virginia (David) Ingersoll of Cedar Falls, and Carol (Keith) McGavern of Shawnee, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and three sisters: Esther (Tom) Stout of Foley, Alabama, Carol (Barney) South of St. George, Utah, and Olive (Albert) Grosse of Waterloo.

Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Paul Getty, and four sisters: Dorothy, Ruth & Florence Getty, and Eunice Frazier.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2003 at Washington Chapel United Methodist Church with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.

A memorial fund will be established.
