Mary Jane Manley was born November 18, 1950 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Calvin and Elizabeth "Betty" (Caley) Manley. She died Thursday, August 23, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa, at 50 years of age.

She was a 1969 graduate of Cedar Falls High School and worked for many years at the Cedar Falls Record Newspaper and at Combined Nursing in Cedar Falls. Mary was past president of the Cedar Falls AMVETS Auxiliary.

Mary is survived by her two brothers, Bernie Manley of Waterloo, Iowa and Fred Manley of Port Neches, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; two great-nieces, and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents.Memorial services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral & Cremation service with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery.
