Darlene Evelyn (Minnick) Olson was born March 14, 1917 in Blue Earth County, Minnesota the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Howe) Minnick. She died Sunday, June 24, 2001 at Altera Clairbridge in Decatur, Georgia at the age of 84 years.

She married Wirth Junior Olson July 26, 1938 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1986.

Survivors include her son, Roger Olson of Buffalo, New York; her daughter, Linda Bruck of Tucker, Georgia; three grandchildren, one great grandson, and two sisters, Donna Cronin of Buffalo, New York and Bernice Manross of Waterloo, Iowa.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Leland Minnick.

Graveside services were 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2001 at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
