LOIS W. STUKENBERG was born May 7, 1911 in Aplington, Iowa, the daughter of Alton and Myrtle (Whitney) Elliott. She died Tuesday, February 26, 2002, at the Elizabeth E. Martin Center of the Western Home Communities in Cedar Falls, at 90 years of age.

Lois married Fred H. Stukenberg on March 22, 1930 in Sumner, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1984. Lois farmed with her husband and family for many years in rural Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was a 4-H Club Leader and was a member of the Farm Bureau.

She is survived by three daughters, Wanda Wallace (John) of Rogers, Arkansas, Colleen Shader of Ames, Iowa and Judy Rizer (Don) of Kiowa, Colorado; two sons, Dennis Stukenberg (Elva) of Mayer, Arizona and Terry Stukenberg (Margaret) of Cedar Falls; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren; three sisters, June Wolfensperger of Cedar Falls, Jean Cuvelier (Ivan) and Audrey Wilson (Bob), both of New Hartford, and a brother, Bud Elliott (Gladys) of Cedar Falls.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband and parents; a granddaughter, Kathy Neef, four brothers and a sister.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2002, at First Presbyterian Church, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice and the church.
