WATERLOO -- Nadine N. Klingaman, 87, of Friendship Village Retirement Center, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at the center of natural causes.

She was born March 23, 1913, in Hudson, daughter of W.O. and Emma Steuben Arter.

She married Elton Brandhorst on Aug. 7, 1934, in Waterloo. He died Sept. 22, 1967. She married Earl Klingaman on Aug. 8, 1971, in Waterloo. He died Sept. 28, 1980.

Mrs. Klingaman attended Iowa State Teacher's College (University of Northern Iowa), Cedar Falls.

Survived by two sons, David Brandhorst of Chicago and Bill Brandhorst of Goose Creek, S.C.; a stepson, Dick Klingaman of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wilma Kristensen of Audubon.

Preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, Waterloo, with burial in Hudson Cemetery, Hudson. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.
