CEDAR FALLS - Roger C. Hostetler, 77, of Missouri City, Texas, formerly of Cedar Falls, died at home Wednesday, March 1, 2000, of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

He was born Sept. 12, 1922, in Waterloo, son of Claude Hostetler and Emily McBurney, and raised by his aunt, Lepha Hostetler.

He married Marjorie Lewis in 1947.

Mr. Hostetler served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific during World War II. He was employed at Rath Packing Company until his retirement.

Survived by his wife; three daughters: Mary Fratzke of Missouri City, Joanna Holm of Dike and Janice Hanson of Ankeny; three sons, Roger of Edmond, Okla., David of Seattle, Wash., and James of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a sister.

Private family services will be held in Missouri City. Garden Oaks Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of arrangements.
