Ingvald "Ing" A. Loberg was born January 13, 1922 near Northwood, Iowa, the son of Oliver and Ingrid (Odegaard) Loberg. He died Wednesday, February 7, 2001, at Manor Care in Waterloo, Iowa at the age of 79 years.

He married Flavia Hill September 13, 1942 in Northwood, Iowa. Ing retired as a consultant from Northwestern Bell after 37 years of employment. He sang with the Novatones for many years, was a founding member of the Sons of Norway, a member of the Cedar Falls AMVETS, and was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Survivors include his wife, Flavia, of Cedar Falls; one son, Brant Loberg of Waterloo; two daughters, Julie Hill of Waterloo and Angela Burrell and her husband, Steve, of Cedar Falls; and two grandchildren, Ryan Loberg and Ambia Root.

Ing was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Ryan Loberg; and his brother, Otto Loberg.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2001, at St. John Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Sunset Rest Cemetery in Northwood, Iowa.
